DIDE! ARISE!!

 DIDE! ARISE!!

My Taxi Story”

So the other day, I was returning home from work with my colleague in a taxi. Just few minutes to get to the bus stop, our ride suddenly broke down. No! Don’t overthink it, it wasn’t an accident.

Initially, it will just take us a short walk from that spot to get to the bus stop that’s if we decide to get off the car, but we all sat in the hot car while the driver was trying to get it started again.

We must have waited there for close to 6 minutes as the engine turned on and off to no avail. No one made a move to get out, since we’ve all paid for the ride. Even as the temperatures rose in the small car, everyone just sat there patiently as if nothing was wrong.

Argh! I couldn’t take it anymore.

I could see the frustration growing on our driver's face as he kept trying different things. Finally, I leaned over to  my colleague and said "If we don't ditch this car now, it will get dark before we get home today."

So we got off the taxi and started the short walk to the bus stop. It was after we got off that some passengers too started getting off the car.

Now, this is the Message…….

This scenario got to me and I started thinking about how sometimes in life, we hesitate to change our situation even when it's clear something isn't working. We make excuses and wait for some magical fix, when really all it takes is finding the courage to walk away.

Too often, we get comfortable in an unhappy job or unhealthy relationship just because it's what's people want for us, Or because you’re scared of what people will say. Some people are still at that spot in their lives that God's called them to leave.

But do you know real growth happens when we decide to get moving, even if it means taking a short journey on foot rather than staying stuck in that same old spot.

God is saying it’s time to leave that spot. You don’t have to wait until it gets more complicated. You know you aren’t comfortable in that position, yes you!!

Stop! It’s not a time for cheap excuses. It’s a time to move and take a step from that stagnant situation. Don’t procrastinate, it’s very dangerous.

Don’t be like the other passengers that had to keep waiting even when there was no available solution to the car. Why waste your life and precious time when you have the strength and the decision to move forward?

Don't be afraid to exit anything in your life that's not serving you anymore. Have the courage to walk forward into what's next, rather than waiting endlessly for a repair that may never come.

HIS promise for you now is a season of greater move!

It’s time to Dide!💪 Arise! And shine forth!

  1. This was such a deep and timely reminder. Sometimes the hardest thing is leaving what’s familiar, even when we know it’s no longer working. Thank you for this powerful message truly a call to arise and move forward.
